JDA Announces 2018 Real Results Award Winners
Awards honor some of the best achievements in supply chain and retail from global brands like 7-Eleven, GEODIS, Loblaw and more

JDA Software, Inc., today announced the winners of the 12th annual JDA Real Results Awards. This year’s winners will be honored at JDA FOCUS 2018, JDA’s annual global customer conference next week, May 6-9, in Orlando.
The 2018 Real Results Award winners were selected from among JDA’s more than 4,000 global customers and represent companies that have the best success stories in seven categories: Best Collaboration, Best Cost Savings, Best Partner Project, Best Time to Value, Best Innovation, Best Results (winners by region for North America, APAC, EMEA, and Latin America) and the chairman’s award.

Heineken – Chairman’s Award
More than 150 years ago, Heineken started as a single brewery in Amsterdam and now three generations of the Heineken family have built and expanded the brand and the company in Europe and around the word. Heineken chose JDA Cloud to build an end-to-end platform for their global planning leveraging JDA® Demand, JDA® Enterprise Supply Planning and JDA® Sales and Operation Planning, so that any new country in the world can connect and integrate with JDA. This integrated solution has enabled Heineken to build a transformational supply chain planning model to allow them to translate volume forecasting more accurately, to stimulate the financial impact of volume scenarios and to optimize revenue forecasts. Loblaw Companies Limited – Best Collaboration
Loblaw, Canada’s food and pharmacy leader has used JDA solutions since 2005. By leveraging the Collaboration Workbench within JDA® FlowcastingTM, Loblaw achieved an enterprise-wide supply chain collaboration platform to ensure better inventory management and product availability.
GEODIS – Best Cost Savings
GEODIS is a top-rated, global supply chain operator recognized for their passion and commitment to helping clients overcome their logistical constraints. The company has realized impressive cost savings utilizing JDA® Warehouse Labor Management, enabling performance monitoring every 15 minutes, driving workforce scheduling decisions to meet the daily volume requirements. When using JDA Warehouse Labor Management with the GEODIS Productivity Culture Toolkit, the company has been able to achieve an impressive $16.4 million in savings in 2017.
7-Eleven and Cognizant – Best Partner Project
7-Eleven, Inc. has successfully deployed a range of JDA solutions including JDA® Demand, JDA® Fulfillment and JDA® Order Optimization to manage its inventory and streamline its supply chain processes. JDA partner Cognizant managed all technical aspects of this implementation into and out of 7-Eleven’s main ERP system. JDA Services and JDA Cloud were key contributors to the project success, making the implementation agile and faster to deliver. As a result, 7-Eleven has cut order lead time and maintained its expected 99 percent fill rate while decreasing expiry/write-offs down to one percent of its total inventory holding costs.
Farmacia San Pablo – Best Time to Value
With 80 years of experience in the Mexican market, Farmacia San Pablo has a strong presence in the Valley of Mexico and in the metropolitan area. Farmacia San Pablo selected a portfolio of JDA® Category Management solutions to improve the productivity and profitability of its sales floor, seeking to focus on the customer by increasing their satisfaction in the buying experience while driving category management innovation. They implemented JDA Category Management in the JDA Cloud which has resulted in the alignment of information that they use for their decision-making process and yielded “one source of the truth” regarding product, sales and stores information. Farmacia San Pablo’s customers are at the center of their strategy and they now have the variety they desire, well-distributed across their stores, localized to their needs. This has translated into increased sales as customers will be buying more every time they are in their store, elevating the customer experience.
Becton, Dickinson & Company (BD) – Best Innovation
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. The company uses JDA® Transportation Management solutions in tandem with TransVoyant integration to optimize transportation plans, improve asset utilization and enable ocean visibility across five distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada. Within the first year of deployment, BD saw significant freight savings. With JDA, BD can now do “what if” scenario planning to determine the impact of changes before they happen.
DCH Auriga – Best Results – APAC
DCH Auriga is an Asian integrated market management provider specializing in healthcare. One major piece of its business is to distribute drugs to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and to patients’ doorsteps, for which delivering the right product to the right person at the right time is critical. DCH Auriga engaged JDA partner, the AC2 Group to start a three-year digital supply chain transformation journey using JDA® Warehouse Management in early 2017. It started its first roll-out at the end of October 2017, and has now successfully rolled it out to 8 of its 35 distribution centers across Asia. DCH Auriga has achieved greater and faster time-to-value for each of its distribution centers, some of which are temperature controlled. With increased visibility, they can track each inventory batch in different temperature rooms, moving the right product at the right time to the right temperature, controlling and directing the flow of inventory easily. DCH Auriga anticipates the successful digital supply chain transformation shall decrease labor costs, increase order picking speed and it plans to double its existing warehouse capacity.
Lenzing Group – Best Results – EMEA
Lenzing Group is a world market leader with 80 years of experience in fiber production. The company deployed JDA® Sales and Operations Planning in the cloud to gain one common view of forecasting and production and financial reconciliation. The result is not only better collaboration for planners, but also for the management. With what-if scenario planning capabilities, Lenzing Group can now compare different scenarios with different outcomes and KPIs, and enable management to make the right decisions aligned with corporate strategy.
Ariztia – Best Results – Latin America
Ariztía is Chile’s second biggest producer of both fresh chicken and turkey, with exports to the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Ariztía found success with JDA® Warehouse Management to help manage the different temperature controls and expiration dates of all its variety of refrigerated and frozen products. JDA Warehouse Management is currently being used at Ariztía’s largest distribution center (DC) in Santiago. From this DC, more than 100 trucks are loaded every night and with JDA, it has been possible to eliminate first-in-first-out errors. During the first six months of the year, Ariztía saw significant improvements in service level agreements and drastically decreased costs. With JDA, Ariztía now has an expiration-date management, which is essential for its daily operations, taking into consideration that 90 percent of the company’s sales are fresh chickens, with a 10- to 12-day expiration date.
Schreiber Foods – Best Results – North America
Schreiber Foods is a global business providing food to people around the world. Based in North America, it specializes in customer-brand dairy – including cream cheese, natural cheese, process cheese and yogurt. Schreiber implemented several JDA® Intelligent FulfillmentTM and JDA® Manufacturing Planning solutions to help with planning production, moves and purchases. With JDA, Schreiber designed a business-segmented supply chain that provides differentiated services to its customers based on multiple criteria of importance such as price sensitivity, order lead time variance, ordering flexibility, and shipment consolidations tolerance. Now, Schreiber Foods can make better and faster decisions about straight time and overtime capacity requirements in addition to build ahead strategies.
