Alexandria, VA – March 5, 2013 – TransVoyant™ announced today that it has received a contract renewal with the Department of Energy (DOE) Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) for map software application interfaces.
Under subcontract to Ma-Chis Lower Creek Indian Tribe Enterprises, Inc., TransVoyant provides new maps that show the position of shipments on a street level for the DOE’s TRANSCOM Maps module. TransVoyant uses the latest version of SpatialFX®, its patented and scalable web mapping and visualization tool, the most recent version of NAVTEQ data, the Google maps API and a spatial routing service called GeoDecisions to provide the new maps and optimized routes for tracking shipment locations to determine if a vehicle has deviated from its pre-determined route. Users with varying levels of access utilize the TRANSCOM Maps module interface to visualize position data from the TRANSCOM GPS database with the corresponding U.S. shipment(s) locations.
